Job Summary
Medical Assistant at Corewell Health Urgent Care providing hands-on patient care and supporting clinic operations in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include patient preparation, triage and vital signs, obtaining and documenting patient history in EMR (EPIC preferred), collecting routine lab specimens, administering medications and injections, performing basic clinical and laboratory procedures, assisting with Occupational Medicine services (drug screening, breath alcohol testing, audiograms, pulmonary function testing), ensuring HIPAA/OSHA compliance, and handling administrative duties. Travel to other Beaumont Urgent Care locations as required. Requires MA program completion or CMA/RMA certification or minimum 2 years of urgent care/ER experience; 12-hour shifts with weekends/holidays; strong teamwork and patient-care focus.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution (diploma or certificate) OR Current Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) OR Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in an urgent care or ER/hospital setting
