Job Summary
Medical Assistant at El Rio Health's Buena Vida Integrated Pain Clinic provides direct patient care and supports both clinical and non-clinical services. Responsibilities include completing patient intake steps, documenting information in the Electronic Health Record, coordinating and reviewing lab and imaging results, executing orders and discharge instructions, maintaining compliance with Nursing Policies, HIPAA, and Joint Commission standards, ensuring a safe, clean environment, and maintaining supplies. The role requires completion of required certifications (Medical Assistant Certificate and BLS), a High School Diploma or GED, Level One Fingerprint Clearance, and may involve driver responsibilities as needed. Bilingual English/Spanish is a preferred skill. The position is scheduled Monday–Friday, in-person at a Tucson clinic, with compensation in the range of $17.57-$24.16 per hour depending on experience.
Required Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D).
- A Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved and accredited educational institution.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers.
- Level I fingerprint clearance card: current valid and in good standing or have applied for it within seven working days after beginning employment.
