Job Summary
Assist with patient rooming, verification, and vitals documentation using eCW to maintain smooth patient flow. Prepare exam rooms and support sterile and non-sterile procedures, including surgical assistance, while adhering to CDC and OSHA safety guidelines. Document patient information, complete consent forms, manage inventory, and ensure exam rooms remain stocked. Uphold HIPAA standards and UVVC Core Values to maintain strict patient confidentiality. This entry-level role requires a high school diploma, one year of experience as a Medical Assistant or Surgical Technician, and BLS certification within 60 days. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Surgical Technician, or Scrub Technician in a patient care setting
- BLS certification
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Dependable
- Punctual
- Knowledgeable in medical terminology
Desired Qualifications
- Certification: American Heart Association preferred
- Preferred completion of an accredited MA or Surgical Technologist program
