Job Summary
Medical Assistant needed to support efficient patient flow by preparing patients for visits, assisting physicians and nurses, performing limited procedures, scheduling tests, preparing lab specimens, maintaining records and handling clerical duties. Responsibilities include coordinating with the health care team, recording patient history elements, submitting prescriptions/refills, ensuring complete documentation, maintaining clinical areas and supplies, and performing vital signs and screening procedures. Requires a High School diploma and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or CCMA/NCRMA certification; Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) is required within 14 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or at least one year as a Medical Assistant or CCMA or NCRMA certification
