Job Summary
Perform Medical Assistant specific tasks under the supervision of a physician or advanced practice clinician, including assessing and educating patients. Utilize the nursing process to provide care while applying knowledge of human growth and development to interact with patients of all ages. Maintain BLS Certification (American Heart Association) and complete orientation before starting. Requires a high school diploma, one year of clinical experience, and strong communication skills. Salary ranges from $18.96 to $25.59 for regular full-time shifts at Valley Health's UCC Ranson location.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of experience in a clinical setting
- BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification
- Good communication skills
- Competence to provide care to patients utilizing the nursing process
- Knowledge of the basic principles of human growth and development
- Competence to successfully interact with patients according to their special needs
