Job Summary
Support physicians and healthcare providers in the ambulatory care setting by delivering direct and indirect patient care. Perform routine medical assisting procedures to promote patient comfort, safety, and quality care. Maintain CPR certification within 60 days of hire and obtain AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA certification within 90 days. Requires high school graduation or completion of a one- or two-year medical assisting program, with one to three years of experience preferred. Part-time day shift PRN status at University Park Family Medicine.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- graduate of a one-year medical assistant program
- graduate of an accredited two-year medical assisting program
- Proficient/knowledgeable in medical terminology
- CPR certification
- One to three years of experience in a medical or physician office
Desired Qualifications
- Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA
- Basic business office, clinical, and computer skills
