Job Summary
Medical Assistant to support a pain management team with clinical and administrative duties. Responsibilities include assisting providers with patient examinations and procedures, taking and recording patient histories and vital signs, preparing and maintaining exam rooms, scheduling appointments, performing basic laboratory tests, assisting with diagnostic procedures, educating patients on treatment plans and medication management, maintaining accurate patient records in line with regulations, handling patient inquiries, and collaborating with the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes. Travel between satellite locations is required, and the role involves working closely with the care team in a fast-paced environment to deliver high-quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is a plus
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
