Job Summary
Medical Assistant Trainee at One Medical, starting with comprehensive training in phlebotomy and clinical support. You’ll handle front-of-house duties (check-in/check-out, insurance verification, paperwork), support patient interactions using the C-I-CARE framework, assist with scheduling, billing knowledge, and perform duties across the lab/office. Training to perform venipuncture and other clinical tasks within six months (One Medical sponsored); willingness to obtain BLS certification within 60 days as applicable. This is a full-time role based in Aurora, CO, with a starting hourly rate of $20.50, rising to $21.50 after completing clinical training. The position emphasizes customer/patient-focused service, teamwork, effective communication, adaptability to change, and use of technology (EMR 1Life, Slack, G-suite, Zoom). Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in high touch customer or patient facing roles
- Strong customer service skills, including ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in computer technology such as typing, navigating the internet and using multiple software systems simultaneously
- Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (additional experience with remote teams a plus)
- A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust with patients while delivering individualized, human-centered, customer-focused care
- A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges, and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks
