Job Summary
Perform back office functions and assist the provider in interviewing, examining, and treating patients. Measure vital signs including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height. Perform phlebotomy and document patient care accurately in the electronic health record (NextGen). Coordinate care with other healthcare team members. This full-time role includes four to ten-hour days with shared Saturday morning coverage, Monday through Friday hours, and no nights or holidays. We are a leading independent physician practice serving nearly 130,000 patients in the St. Louis area, emphasizing patient comfort and a supportive environment.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training which will probably be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- CPR Certification
- PC/Windows proficiency
- Medical coding familiarity
- Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction
- Ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments

- Project a positive office image at all times including smiling, greeting patients with enthusiasm, and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers
