Job Summary
Conduct patient care services under clinical supervision, including prepping patients for examinations, assisting with procedures, and administering medications per physician orders. Document patient concerns, messages, and care provided in medical records while accurately measuring and recording vital signs. Retrieve and prepare patient medical information, set up trays and equipment, and maintain clean, organized exam rooms. Manage clinic operations by ensuring smooth daily progress, addressing patient concerns, and adhering to HIPAA and infection control guidelines. Maintain accurate inventory, order supplies, and route tasks appropriately to meet departmental standards.
Required Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of a formal Medical Assistant program pursuant to the Division of Allied Health Professions
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical Assistant
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer services skills
- Medical Terminology
- familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding procedures and reference tool
- pharmacology appropriate to the MA scope of practice
- Computer literate, especially re: Healthcare EMR and Practice Management systems
- Ability to work with multi-ethnic population
- Must be flexible to work at all of our Stockton locations if needed
