Job Summary
Conduct patient care protocols including vital signs, specimen collection, PPD placement, and hearing/vision testing while adhering to strict infection control guidelines. Perform phlebotomy, administer PPDs as ordered, and obtain/process laboratory specimens per CLIA-waived lab protocols. Assist clinicians during evaluations as a chaperone, review charts for follow-up appointments, and coordinate care with the Scheduling Department. Maintain temperature logs, medication inventory, and quality control logs; dispose of hazardous waste per OSHA guidelines. Participate in in-service training, attend supervision meetings, and implement recommendations from the Quality Improvement Team. Requires New York State Medical Assistant certification, first aid/CPR training, three to five years of nursing experience, and Spanish proficiency preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Current New York State Medical Assistant certification
- appropriate certification in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- three to five years' experience in nursing profession
- supervisory experience
