Job Summary
Medical Assistant for a temporary, full-time position providing welcoming patient care in a team-based healthcare setting. Responsibilities include determining visit type, obtaining vitals, and maintaining clear chart documentation to support physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. Role requires MA certification/current certification/registration testing within 3 months of hire and certification maintained within 6 months; CNA is not accepted as a substitute. Strong emphasis on patient interaction, organization, and collaboration within Salud’s integrated care model. Benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, retirement contributions, paid holidays, and generous PTO; typical schedule Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm.
Required Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant Certificate
- Medical Assistant certification/registration testing within 3 months of hire
- All Medical Assistants must be certified within 6 months of hire
- Certification must be maintained
- CNA certification is NOT equivalent to Medical Assistant certification
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
- Successful completion of formal Medical Assistant training program (minimum 6 months) preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Previous healthcare experience preferred but not required
