Job Summary
Medical Assistant works directly with a Physician to assist in examination and interviewing of patients and perform basic office duties. This is an on-site position with supervision from licensed providers, Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, temporary for up to 90 days with potential conversion. Responsibilities include assisting with assessment and examination, recording patient subjective information, entering data into the BHCEMR system, monitoring patient welfare until exam starts, assisting Physician with forms, managing exam/stock room inspections, and performing additional duties as appropriate. May travel to other office locations as needed. Requires HS Diploma or GED, completion of an accredited MA program, current BCLS with AED, 1 year clinical experience, strong computer skills (Excel/Word), familiarity with EMR software, and bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of a Medical Assistant course from an accredited/recognized school
- Current BCLS with AED certificates
- Experience in a medical clinic, hospital or SNF setting: 1 year
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical documentation
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Must be comfortable using Electronic Medical Record software (training provided)
- Bi-lingual - Spanish/English strongly preferred
