Job Summary
Medical Assistant Team Lead oversees day-to-day office and procedural settings under the Site Manager; maintains a clean and stocked clinical environment; supports patient care and prepares procedure rooms; assists providers during procedures (Hemorrhoidal Banding, Flex Sigmoidoscopy); provides Spanish translation as needed; manages clinical equipment (e.g., capsule endoscopy) and supplies; records vitals and medication information in EMR; reviews allergies, medications, and patient education; ensures universal precautions and OSHA compliance; creates monthly staff schedules for FibroScan and patient care; tracks procedure and pathology reports; performs follow-up calls and coordinates lab requests and specimen collection; supports insurance criteria related to labs/x-rays; strong communication and supervisory skills for effective team leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certification and/or Associates Degree in the State of Pennsylvania
- Minimum of two (2) years previous office experience preferred
- Current BLS certification
- Participation in ongoing continuing education
- Good communication skills
