Job Summary
Coordinate clinic flow for a team of clinicians and direct the movement of patients, including managing early, late, and walk-in arrivals. Perform all Medical Assistant I or II duties while maximizing resource use and meeting visit volume targets. Support Medical Assistant peer training through individual and group instruction, competency check-offs, and informal mentorship. Monitor completion of assigned tasks and lead cross-discipline projects to advance the clinic's strategic plan.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from and accredited medical assisting program
- Participation in Fred Pryor training as assigned or recommended
- A minimum of 12 months prior medical assisting experience at SRCH
- Fluent in English and one other needed patient access language required (speak, read and write)
- Excellent performance in the MA I or MA II position
- Excellent knowledge of eCW and the MA workflows
- Demonstrated ability to complete assignments
- Thorough, detail oriented, careful and accurate
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to improve systems and work flow
- History of taking initiative and willingness to accept additional assignments to assist in workflow or improve systems
- Demonstrates knowledge of compliance issues within the community clinic environment
- Demonstrates a willingness to report any incident that is unusual or incompatible with accepted clinic procedures
- Maintains confidentiality of patients at all times
- Sensitivity to and willingness to interact with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds
- Demonstrated coursework with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel to increase proficiency
- Strong organizational skills with ability to track ongoing projects, assist others with work relatively independently during a clinic shift, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines

- Use standard office equipment and access, input, and retrieve information from a computer

- Give and follow verbal and written instructions with attention to detail and accuracy
- Perform complex mental functions; collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information

- Vision: see details of objects at close range
- Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
- Reach forward, up, down, and to the side to access files
- Sit or stand for minimum periods of one hour at a time and come and go from the work area repeatedly throughout the day
- Lift up to 15 pounds
- Travel to other office and community locations
