Job Summary
Conduct daily operational oversight of the practice by facilitating office huddles, monitoring task queues, and managing shift schedules for administrative and clinical staff. Lead team members through training, coaching, and mentoring while championing best practices in patient intake, scheduling, and facility upkeep. Manage inventory by tracking supplies, minimizing waste, and completing counts, alongside reviewing office budgets and revenue cycles. Perform clinical duties including venipuncture, vitals, EKGs, and specimen collection, while responding to Net Promoter Score feedback and service recovery cases. Ensure regulatory compliance and population health initiatives in partnership with Clinical Leadership and the Operations Manager.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or lead role in high touch customer service or patient facing healthcare
- Graduated from a postsecondary Medical Assistant program accredited by either the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), another accrediting organization recognized by the United States Department of Education
- An active Medical Assistant certification from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), the National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), the National Certification Medical Association (NCMA), or registration from the American Medical Technologists (AMT), or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board
- Proven ability to foster strong, collaborative team-dynamics that ensure a supportive and engaged team culture
- Experience working on collaborative, diverse and feedback-driven multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Physical Demands: Mostly sedentary work duties require exerting up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or small amounts of force frequently. Sedentary work typically involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods.
- This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week, based in-person with our team and patients at our Hoboken, NJ with 8 hour shifts generally taking place Monday - Friday between 7:30a - 6:00p.
- One Medical participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Proven track record of leading successful change management and process improvement efforts preferred
- Experience in healthcare, with a solid understanding of billing and insurance, is preferred
