Job Summary
Full-Time Medical Assistant for ENT and Allergy Associates in Tarrytown supporting front-office and clinical duties.Responsibilities include welcoming patients, preparing exam rooms, verifying and recording medical history, assisting providers during examinations and procedures, preparing laboratory specimens and performing basic in-office lab testing, maintaining sterile instruments and disposing of contaminated supplies, educating patients on medications, documenting examinations and treatments, maintaining inventory and ensuring equipment functions, and upholding HIPAA regulations. Preference for CMA/RMA certification, EMT certification, or a Biology degree; experience with Epic EMR is favored.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification such as CMA or RMA
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
- Five (5) years of continuous experience working as a Medical Assistant
- Epic EMR experience preferred
