Job Summary
Coordinate patient flow and prepare patients for examination or treatment by ensuring appropriate equipment availability. Obtain patient histories, record vital signs, collect specimens, and escort patients as required. Participate in patient care conferences and maintain a clean environment while complying with safety, health, and hazardous material regulations. Perform duties requiring manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and the ability to bend, squat, and stoop. Current BLS certification required; EKG and phlebotomy training preferred. This role involves 95% ambulatory and 5% sedentary physical activity.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree as a Medical Assistant
- completion of a Medical Assistant Certificate program
- three to six months of relevant experience
- equivalent combination of education, training, certification and experience
- Current BLS certification
