Job Summary
Responsible for assisting physicians, RNs and Radiology Technicians in patient care and intraoperative procedures within a Fresenius Medical Care/Vascular Care setting. Duties include assisting with pre-op around patient positioning and preparation, maintaining sterile environments during procedures, assisting the physician during procedures, instrument handling and sterilization, transporting patients, maintaining confidentiality of medical records, and supporting cost-control initiatives. Requires proficiency in sterile technique, communication with patients and families, adherence to policies, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with heavy patients up to 400 lbs. Requires High School Diploma and CPR certification; 1–2 years’ related experience preferred; hospital/OR skills and infection control knowledge beneficial.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Certified in CPR
- 1 – 2 years’ related experience preferred
- Hospital or operating room skills preferred
- Knowledge of instrument sterilization techniques
- Knowledge of personal protective devices to be utilized when operating Radiology systems
