Job Summary
Maintain patient flow and clinic efficiency by supervising medical support staff, conducting performance reviews, coaching, and managing shift schedules. Examine and revise inner-clinic processes to promote productivity while providing direct and indirect patient care within scope. Schedule and facilitate monthly staff meetings, maintain accurate records, and implement emergency code and fire drills per agency protocols. Ensure compliance with regulations and governing bodies across state-of-the-art health center sites. This exempt position supports the management team in delivering quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate
- Completed training program in Medical Assisting from Accredited school
- CPR Certification
- Minimum 3 years of medical assistant experience
- Minimum 1 years of management or supervisory experience
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and push up to 50 pounds (on wheels)
- Must be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in-person, and speak clearly in order to communicate information to patients and staff
- Must be able to read memos, computer screens, and administrative documents
- Must have high manual dexterity
- Must be able to reach above the shoulder level to work
- Must be able to bend, squat and sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, twist/turn
- Must be able to sit between 5-7 hours daily
- Must possess close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to work indoors and out doors
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle to and from various sites at UHC
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 1 years of management or supervisory experience preferred
- Experience with facility and program licensure and audits a plus
- Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish) but not required
