Job Summary
Medical Assistant Supervisor needed at OnPoint Family Medicine: Parker Square to supervise the Medical Assistant staff, coordinate scheduling, participate in hiring, ensure quality patient care, and maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA. The role oversees staff development, conducts performance evaluations, assists with onboarding and ongoing education, and interfaces with the Practice Manager. Duties are Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with possible Saturday hours, and require proficiency with EMR systems (Athenahealth) and a CMA or MA certification as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant
- Maintenance of state guidelines certifications
- National CMA certification strongly preferred
- Strong computer skills; EMR experience preferred
- 3+ years MA experience required
- At least 1 year as Medical Assistant Lead/Supervisor preferred
- Current BLS card
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) strongly preferred
- 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience
- At least 1 year as Medical Assistant Lead/Supervisor preferred
- BLS certification
- Strong computer skills
- EMR experience preferred
- National CMA certification preferred
- State-specific certifications maintained
