Job Summary
The Medical Assistant Supervisor will provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management for Medical Assistants, ensuring staffing coverage, efficient clinic workflows, and high-quality clinical support for providers and patients. Responsibilities include hiring/onboarding/training, managing timesheets and time off, coordinating staffing across clinics, optimizing rooming/documentation/prep/post-visit processes, ensuring compliance with clinical policies and safety standards, supporting quality initiatives and performance improvement, and serving as a liaison between Medical Assistants, providers, and leadership. Candidates should have strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, plus experience in ambulatory or specialty clinics and familiarity with EHR/practice management systems; preferred CMA/RMA certification and orthopaedic experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory or specialty clinic setting
- Prior leadership, lead, or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Preferred: Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred
- Experience in orthopaedics or specialty care
- Experience supporting multiple providers or high-volume clinics
