Job Summary
Leads Medical Assistants and other staff in day to day clinic operations. Is responsible for orientation and competency training for MA’s. Oversees clinical flow, coordinates scheduling of MA staff and their PTO/sick call, and ensures quality medical care through training and ongoing competency. Supports a positive work environment, trains MA team members, and conducts performance evaluations. With MA Nurse Manager, resolves conflicts and ensures OSHA/HIPAA/compliance. Performs MA tasks as needed, attends management meetings, participates on committees, orders supplies, and contributes to the PCMH care team. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Accredited Medical Assisting Program
- Current Certification with AAMA, or other nationally recognized certification
- CPR certification or must obtain within 90 days of hire
- Medical Office experience required
- Knowledge of FQHC’s preferred
