Job Summary
Medical Assistant Supervisor to oversee MA staff, manage scheduling and interviews, coach staff, conduct performance evaluations, and liaise with the Practice Manager. Role requires upholding HIPAA/OSHA/CLIA standards, onboarding and education of Medical Assistants, maintaining EMR systems (e.g., Athenahealth), and ensuring high-quality patient care. Typically Mon–Fri, 8–5 with potential Saturday hours; includes supervising, performance management, and ensuring staff development within a clinic setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Maintain certifications per state guidelines
- National CMA strongly preferred
- 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience
- At least 1 year as Medical Assistant Lead/Supervisor preferred
- Current BLS card
- Strong computer skills; EMR experience preferred
