Job Summary
Medical Assistant responsible for patient support and communication and facilitating an exceptional patient experience. Performs point-of-care laboratory tests and EKGs, collects vital signs and histories, authorizes prescription refills, prepares patients and rooms for visits, performs phlebotomy, processes specimens, cleans and maintains treatment rooms, and supports brand marketing by engaging patients in the vestibule. Provides medication administration (PO, IM, ID) under Provider direction, educates patients on medications and diet, and ensures quality controls and equipment checks. Requires High School Diploma/Equivalency and CMA certification or eligibility within 90 days; 1 year of experience preferred; BLS preferred/within 90 days.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant or eligible within 90 days of hire
- 1 year of experience preferred
- Phlebotomy experience required
- Current BLS certification for healthcare providers preferred; required within 90 days of employment
- High School Diploma/Equivalency required
- Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care or ER preferred
