Job Summary
Open procedural trays, assist clinical staff and physicians with surgical procedures, and provide post-operative support including vital signs monitoring, IV removal, and patient transport. Perform environmental cleaning, disinfect treatment areas, restock linen carts, and manage waste containers. Verify patient identities, ensure proper imaging documentation, and assist with clerical tasks as needed. Requires full range of body motion, lifting up to 30 pounds, and standing for various duties. Candidates must hold a high school diploma, accredited program graduation, and current BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Completion of equivalent programs
- Current basic life support certification
- Ability to complete the basic life support course within first 30 days of employment
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a physician's office or hospital
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds

- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
