Job Summary

Deliver direct and indirect patient care by collecting healthcare data, performing phlebotomy, administering treatments, and preparing patients for examinations. Complete patient care testing, verify insurance information, and enter codes into the billing system while maintaining accurate documentation. Perform clerical functions, answer telephone calls, and provide pre- and post-examination education. Adhere to infection control processes, quality control protocols, and National Patient Safety Goals. Schedule surgery and procedures as needed, rotate shifts including standby and on-call, and travel locally between system locations.

  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) approved curriculum of the American Heart Association (CPR and AED) program
  • Northern Market: Family & Friends
  • Southern Market: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) approved curriculum of the American Heart Association (CPR and AED) program
  • Travel may be expected locally between System locations

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous outpatient office experience
  • Successful completion of Medical Assistant program or experience as a Medical Assistant for one (1) year OR Certified EMT/Paramedic under the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred
