Job Summary
Medical Assistant participates in planning, providing, and evaluating patient care at the appropriate skill level and operates diagnostic equipment (cannot interpret tests). Responsibilities include removing staples, changing wound dressings, obtaining cultures, administering non-intravenous medications, performing simple specimen collection and venipuncture, performing EKGs, conducting quality control on equipment, autoclave sterilization, maintaining patient records, ensuring confidentiality, organizing exam/treatment rooms, stocking supplies, and supporting the provider and care team. Requires Medical Assistant Certificate (or equivalent experience) and knowledge of medical terminology, data entry, and electronic health records; strong attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to manage competing priorities; ability to respond to emergencies; bilingual abilities preferred; physical ability to lift and move objects as described in the role. Location: Orlando, FL; in-person clinic operations.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certificate issued by an accredited institution approved by the State of Florida, or one year experience in a health care setting with direct patient contact or equivalent combination of training/education/experience
