Job Summary
Medical Assistant responsibilities include preparing patients for examination, recording vital signs and history, preparing exam/treatment rooms, sterilizing and maintaining medical supplies and equipment, administering injections, wound management under providers orders, collecting blood and other laboratory specimens, analyzing and preparing tests, documenting patient care in electronic medical records, scheduling tests and follow-up appointments, instructing patients and families on treatment and medication instructions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless patient care, performing phlebotomy, and handling opening/closing clinic duties and callbacks. Qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent, current certification as Medical Assistant (RMA/AAMA/NCCT/CMAC/AMCA) preferred with current BLS, and at least one year of relevant experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent is required.
- Certificate/License: Current Certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the following programs is preferred (RMA, AAMA, NCCT, CMAC, AMCA). Current BLS certification is required.
- Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience is preferred
