Job Summary
The Medical Assistant supports physicians and advanced practice clinicians in primary health care within a care-team model, performing patient prep, specimen collection, vital signs, routine lab work, multistep documentation in EMR, infection control tasks, and coordinating with the care team while adhering to HIPAA and quality-improvement practices. The role requires maintaining BLS, potential CMA certification, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and strong communication with patients and providers; clinic operations include patient relations, scheduling, referrals, and compliance with regulatory standards. Work schedule is full-time, with hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday, with potential additional duties as needed. Based in Arkansas (Monticello and Sheridan area) within an OSHA high-risk clinic environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Must have current BLS FOR Healthcare Providers.
- CMA certification preferred.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to read and write English.
