Job Summary
Coordinate patient care in a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic supporting Cardiology, Vein, Vascular, Pulmonary, and Wound Care services. Perform clinical support functions consistent with a Medical Assistant scope of practice while ensuring seamless communication across specialties. Complete an accredited training program or maintain one year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting. Maintain AHA or ARC Basic Life Support certification within 90 days and obtain CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCCT, or NRCMA certification within 120 days. Work full-time, 40 hours Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Muskegon, Michigan.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with an MA scope of practice
- 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- One of the following certifications: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of BLS certification within 90 days
- Completion of one of the listed certifications within 120 days
