Job Summary
Medical Assistant Senior performs clinical intake duties across multiple service lines (e.g., Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Women’s Health) with minimal supervision, supports efficient clinic flow and accurate clinical documentation, administers immunizations under provider direction, collects specimens, and uses EMR functionality to support patient care and operations. The role may float within or between clinics and contributes to accreditation efforts and the Quintuple Aim. Requires CPR within 90 days and the ability to travel between clinics within the state. Proficient in computer skills, HIPAA-compliant information handling, and effective communication with patients, providers, and team members.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant Certification or one (1) or more years of equivalent experience
- Experience across more than one service line and the ability to independently manage assigned clinical workflows with minimal supervision
- CPR certification within 90 days of employment
- Travel 15% or more within state between clinics
- Proficient computer skills, including data entry and typing
- Knowledge of instrumentation used in lab point of care testing, as directed, within 90 days
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information private in accordance with HIPAA and Variety Care policy
- Ability to effectively communicate with the patient population
- Ability to work in a multi-faceted, fast-paced work environment
