Job Summary
Medical Assistant/Scribe for Precision Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Laurel, MD and Gaithersburg, MD. The role combines clinical and administrative duties to support patient care: taking vital signs and medical histories, assisting providers during examinations and procedures, performing phlebotomy and specimen processing, managing patient records, scheduling and coordinating patient flow, and supporting physicians with C-Arm operations. Requires a medical assisting program completion and CMA certification (or equivalent), with strong organization, discretion with sensitive information, and a focus on patient experience. EHR knowledge and familiarity are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a medical assistant training program
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years healthcare experience preferred
- CMA certification or equivalent preferred
- EHR knowledge preferred
