Job Summary
Medical Assistant I at Honor Community Health (School-Based site) provides direct/indirect patient care, assists clinicians, and supports general office duties and patient records in a school-based setting. Requires MA training completion (or equivalent/licensed experience such as LPN/EMT/ER Tech/paramedic), BLS certification, and 3+ months in a clinical role. Proficiency with EMR (NextGen preferred) and MS Office; strong patient-facing skills; able to work across multiple locations as needed; contributes to a compassionate, patient-centered healthcare experience in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Competency-based Medical Assistant training program completion
- BLS Certification through the American Heart Association
- 3+ months in a similar clinical position
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (NextGen preferred) and Microsoft Office
- Strong computer skills
- Compassionate and positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work between locations when needed
