Job Summary
Medical Assistant position at Salud Family Health focused on welcoming patients and supporting a team-based care approach. Responsibilities include determining the nature of patient visits, obtaining vitals, accurate chart documentation, maintaining a clean, organized environment, and assisting doctors, NPs, or PAs. Requires current Medical Assistant Certification with timely recertification within specified windows; if not certified at hire, must complete MA certification within 3 months (and maintain it thereafter). Education must include a formal MA training program (min. ~6 months; preferred). Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Required Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant Certification
- Certification/Registration testing within 3 months of hire if not certified at hire
- All Medical Assistants must be certified within 6 months of hire and maintain certification throughout employment
- MA Certification required; CNA certification not accepted as substitute
- Successful completion of formal Medical Assistant training program (minimum 6 months preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
