Job Summary
Welcome patients as the first step in treatment prior to seeing the Doctor, NP, or PA. Determine the nature of the patient's visit and obtain vitals. Maintain a clean and organized environment for both patients and staff. Provide thorough and concise chart documentation to ensure clear communication. Work Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm with a salary of $21 to $28.50 per hour. This role requires a current Medical Assistant Certificate, with certification maintenance throughout employment. Required Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant Certificate
- High school diploma or equivalent
- The ability to work with people from all walks of life and to meet them in their place of need
- A Medical Assistant not certified/registered upon hire is required to complete the Medical Assistant certification/registration testing within 3 months of hire
- All Medical Assistants must be certified within 6 months of hire and certification must be maintained throughout employment
- Medical Assistants without any formal Medical Assistant training are required to have a current Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant
- This position REQUIRES a Medical Assistant (MA) Certification
- A CNA certification is NOT equivalent to a Medical Assistant certification and cannot be accepted for this position
Desired Qualifications
- Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program, a minimum of 6 months in length
- Previous healthcare experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish
