Job Summary
Teach Medical Assisting in a campus-based program with a maximum of 24 students, delivering lectures and demonstrations in clinical and administrative skills. Classes are 4.5 hours long, scheduled mornings (M-F 8:30-1:00) and optional evenings (PRN 5:30-10). Part-time role typically 9-22.5 hours per week with potential for PRN evening coverage; responsibilities include learning the material, delivering Ross curriculum, and serving as Primary/Secondary Instructor or teaching assistant/substitute as needed in year-round courses.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in the medical assisting field and formal training from an accredited institution
- Must be able to obtain a national certification as medical assistant
- Individuals without a formal education, must have with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience working in the medical field and a national certification
- Interest in teaching or prior experience
