Medical Assistant - Roger Maris Cancer Center

Medical Assistant in ambulatory care at Sanford Health’s Roger Maris Cancer Center provides essential patient data collection and communication of care instructions under supervision of licensed clinicians. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, observing and reporting patient symptoms, assisting with care plans, and performing point-of-care testing. The MA conducts activities across the lifespan within preventative care, health maintenance, treatment, and follow-up, contributing to a multidisciplinary oncology team and coordinating with nursing, labs, radiology, infusion, and education departments. Requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and national or state certification/registration; BLS within six months and state-specific registrations as outlined above; ongoing credential maintenance as mandated.
