Job Summary
Escort patients to exam rooms, ensure thorough cleaning and stocking, and review medical information to inform the provider. Take vitals, perform blood draws, administer medications and immunizations, and prepare for additional lab tests. Manage front desk duties including patient scheduling, medical record requests, check-in/check-out, and coordinating specialist referrals. Process test results and provide timely updates to patients, while maintaining clinical supplies and equipment. Work closely with the care team to develop individual patient plans of care.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant
- Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program
- MA certification or registration is required for employment in States where certification/registration is required
- CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date
Desired Qualifications
- National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred
- Phlebotomy experience is preferred
