Medical Assistant

Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and completing medication reconciliation while documenting clinical information in Athena or eClinicalWorks. Assist providers during procedures, administer medications and injections, perform EKGs and point-of-care testing, and collect specimens per organizational policies. Coordinate laboratory testing, referrals, and prescription refills to ensure continuity of care, then educate patients on treatment plans and preventive care with professionalism. Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms adhering to infection prevention and HIPAA standards, and accurately document all encounters to support compliance and reimbursement. Requires 2+ years of clinical experience, familiarity with EMR systems, and excellent communication skills.
