Job Summary
Internal Medicine Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to physicians and healthcare teams caring for adult patients. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, coordinating care, documenting information in the EMR, performing clinical procedures within scope of practice, administering injections or vaccines, managing phone calls and refill requests, scheduling appointments, processing referrals, and coordinating prior authorizations. Strong communication, attention to detail, organization, and multitasking are essential; bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred to support diverse patient populations.
