Job Summary
Medical Assistant Residency Clinic supporting physicians and clinic staff by facilitating efficient patient flow, preparing patients for visits, assisting with examinations and procedures, managing supplies, maintaining and documenting in the electronic health record, and ensuring privacy and data security. The role involves administrative duties to keep information current, communication with patients and families, collaboration with the healthcare team, and a focus on continuous improvement of patient experience and quality of care. Relevant certifications (CMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA/RMA or equivalent) and a high school diploma or equivalent are required, with BLS as a preferred/required credential, and 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a competency-based Medical Assistant training program
- CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CMA) - AAMA or CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CCMA) - NHA or CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (NCMA) - NCCT or CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (NRCMA) - NAHP or CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (RMA) - AMT
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC
- 1 year of relevant experience Working in a physician practice or healthcare setting
- BLS certification options listed (AHA or ARC)
