Job Summary
Process HMO, CPE, and specialty referrals by completing authorization forms and faxing or emailing requests to IPA, Health Plans, and County resources. Schedule appointments with specialists, notify patients of decisions, and follow up on referral status, no-shows, and reschedules. Perform patient intake interviews, document chief complaints, history, vitals, and test results in the Electronic Health Record, and conduct phlebotomy, injections, and point-of-care testing like blood glucose and urinalysis. Assist medical practitioners with examinations, coordinate services with dentistry, optometry, and mental health, and maintain clinical inventory and exam room cleanliness. Ensure HIPAA compliance, file completed forms, and submit weekly utilization reports while adhering to OSHA protocols and clinic policies.
Required Qualifications
- Microsoft Office/Word/Excel/Outlook
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to travel from facility to facility
- This position requires 10 % travel outside the local area
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 0.5 years of positional experience
- Current CPR and/or BLS Certification
- Valid State Identification
- Must possess mobility to work in a standard office/clinic setting

Desired Qualifications
