Job Summary
Assists providers with non-invasive medical procedures, including taking vital signs and preparing patients for exams. Prepares and cleans exam rooms, performs patient intake duties such as reporting test results and phone triage, and documents medical information as directed. Supports administrative tasks like pre-registering patients, scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, verifying insurance eligibility, and managing clinic communications. Reviews daily logs, maintains organized workloads, monitors supply inventory, and educates patients on medications and diets. Requires BCLS certification, 0-1 years of experience, and computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical record systems. This role is part of a collaborative culture at RediMed Northwest Urgent Care in Fort Wayne, IN.
Required Qualifications
- 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) required
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. for an employer
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred
