Job Summary
Provide patient care in outpatient settings by assisting with examinations, preparing specimens, drawing blood, and sterilizing instruments. Greet patients, verify information, take vital signs, and maintain clinical flow while managing supplies and equipment. Handle phone calls, schedule appointments, process insurance forms, and manage incoming mail and document distribution. Open and close the office as needed, ensuring all supplies are stocked and equipment is maintained.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certification or Diploma from accredited Medical Assistant school/program
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Biology
- National Medical Assistant Certification
- HeartSaver certification
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- English proficiency
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
