Job Summary
Greet and register patients, verify insurance information, and schedule appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Take and record vital signs, prepare patients for examinations, and maintain accurate medical records while ensuring confidentiality. Answer incoming calls, direct inquiries to appropriate personnel, and coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times. Manage billing documentation, keep the reception area organized, and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams. Requires CMA or RMA certification, two years of healthcare experience, and proficiency with EHR systems. Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an accredited program
- Minimum of two years of experience in a medical assistant or receptionist role within a healthcare setting
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
- Monday thru Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in Medical Assisting or related healthcare field
- Experience with medical billing and coding procedures
- Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish or other commonly spoken languages in the United States
- Advanced customer service training or certification
- Familiarity with scheduling software and telehealth platforms
