Job Summary
Prepare examination rooms, escort patients, and maintain efficient patient flow while obtaining vital signs and documenting in the EHR. Assist physicians, PAs, or NPs with clerical duties, scheduling appointments, and reconciling encounters daily. Administer medications, manage supply stocking, and provide scribing services as assigned. Communicate patient concerns to supervisors and adhere to universal safety precautions. Demonstrate proficiency with department-specific equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions promptly.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program
- 0-1 year related work experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
- Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner
- Basic proficiency in computer use
- Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed
