Job Summary
Prep charts and scan patient records into the EMR while obtaining vitals, history, and medication details from patients. Accurately document activity, return calls for prescription refills, and complete provider orders including DME oxygen setups, sleep studies, and prior authorizations. Schedule new clinic patients, explain policies, dispense inventory via the management system, and administer injections or scheduling for testing. Manage medication and ancillary stock as needed. Requires one year of MA experience, CNA or Certified MA training, and proficiency with EMR systems. Weekly pay of $18.00-$20.00 an hour.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 or more years of MA experience
- Ability to carry up to 10 lbs. frequently during clinic
- Manual strength for using a manual blood pressure cuff
- Manual dexterity for using a computer keyboard, using a mobile device such as an iPad or laptop, and other office machines
- Ability to view computer screens for long periods
- Ability to stand and walk continuously during clinic
- Ability to sit for long periods of time as well as occasional standing and walking
- Occasional stress related to workload and physician / patient demands
Desired Qualifications
- CNA or Certified MA training completion or equivalent education or experience
- EMR systems: 1 year
- Vital signs: 1 year
- Certified Medical Assistant or CNA
