Job Summary
Medical Assistant role supporting addiction treatment services. Responsible for intake coordination, obtaining lab work and urine drug screens, observing and handling same-sex samples, administering Mantoux testing, arranging physician referrals, maintaining medical records, and purchasing medical supplies. Provides patient education on methadone maintenance and detoxification, educates clients on lab results and medical matters, and assists with coordinating outside services as needed. Works with facility leadership to maintain a therapeutic environment for residents and supports front desk operations. Requires High School Diploma or GED, 1+ year medical assistant experience, CPR/First Aid/BLS, and ability to administer medications with AED readiness. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of working experience as a medical assistant
- CPR, First Aid, and BLS certification
- Ability to administer medications
- Maintain continuing education credits as required by state
- Capacity to administer lab work and urine drug screens
- Experience with Mantoux Testing
- Ability to schedule appointments and coordinate care
- Maintain and update medical records
- Purchasing and ordering medical supplies
- Patient education on methadone maintenance and detoxification
- Assist with front desk duties
- Ability to work in a team-oriented addiction treatment facility

- CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
