Job Summary
Coordinate psychiatric clinical services for specialty care patients by performing basic patient care tasks, managing provider panels, and overseeing scheduling. Conduct clinical duties including telephone and pre-visit triage, vital signs, pre-visit planning, room stocking, EMR documentation, and medication reconciliations. Track follow-up needs for at-risk populations, manage patient databases, and provide advocacy and navigation for FHCW and community services. Engage patients in health coaching and motivational interviewing while maintaining infection control and quality measures. Serve as a resource for the psychiatric services team, attend regular meetings to discuss high-risk cases, and assist with special projects and root cause analysis.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant from and accredited training program
- specialty certification
- minimum of three years of experience in a specialty
- Three years of experience in primary health care, psychiatry, or other health care setting
